It seems that every year starts with this overview taken on a
clear, cool day in January. Well, it might help when you flip to the
beginning of a year or two back in this story, to see the changes
made. |
It also seems to be tradition that January brings a drift of
snow to our part of British Columbia, Canada. And the Aristocraft
plow continues to trundle on, making it possible to run trains under
difficult circumstances. |

This time, though, in 2005, it also got cold for a period of
time long enough to freeze Meziadin Lake. Not unusual for the real
one north of Terrace, but definitely unusual for our little one,
where pumps keep the water flowing year-round. |
The plow kept the mainline open, but it looks as though the log
yard at Dee's Junction is snowed-in for the duration. |

And now you know why the little houses have steep-pitched
rooves. |
